The 2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Lemon Burst Underwood Aged combines the historically accurate construction of Gibson's celebrated 1959 Reissue with the distinctive character of a custom Underwood aged finish. Featuring a beautifully figured two-piece maple top over a one-piece lightweight mahogany back, this guitar utilizes traditional hide glue construction and a long-tenon neck joint to capture the resonance, sustain, and feel of a vintage Les Paul. The Lemon Burst finish features a custom Underwood aging treatment and paint scheme, giving the guitar the unmistakable appearance of a well-played original with decades of character. Its solid mahogany neck features an Authentic '59 Medium C profile, paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius, historic medium-jumbo frets, and cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. A Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker in the neck position delivers warm, open, vintage-inspired tones, while a Seymour Duncan '59 Double White humbucker in the bridge provides articulate attack, rich harmonics, and classic PAF-style response. Traditional CTS 500K potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors complete the electronics, while an ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Kluson tuners preserve the authentic vintage character. With its custom-aged appearance, premium construction, and carefully selected pickups, this Underwood Aged '59 Reissue offers a distinctive take on one of Gibson's most iconic guitars.
