The Ernie Ball James Valentine Signature features a slab ash body outfitted with complementary Ernie Ball pickups—a single-coil in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge—switchable via a custom three-way level switch. The Valentine also features a hardtail bridge, complete with vintage bent steel saddles, and the oil- and wax-rubbed 25.5-inch maple neck boasts a 10-inch radius and maple fingerboard. Rounding out the design is an over-sized four-over-two headstock and compensated nut for better tuning stability.
