Both the man and his instruments were of the very finest quality. He never met a stranger and was always willing to stop his delicate work to talk about music or luthiery. His works are on display at the Smithsonian Institution, the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix Arizona, The Bluegrass Heritage Museum, and in many private collections. He was an original inductee into the Kentucky Stars along with Loretta Lynn and Rosemary Clooney. He also has a plaque on the sidewalk on Main Street in Lexington, Kentucky. |
