In 1973, Paul Hamer and Joel Dantzig started buying used and vintage guitars and fixing them up for resale.In 1975 the first order was from Ted Turner of Wishbone Ash and from there they grew. Joel was always super particular about keeping the quality way above what any other manufacturer even thought about. Neck blanks were cut and dried for 6 months, fingerboards glued then set for 6 more and then the fingerboard trued and fretted. The electronics and inlay work was superior to anyone else. |
