Since starting his one man shop repairing and building guitars in 1977, he has grown his company to be one of the most sought after boutique guitar builders in the world. Early on he collaborated with Tony Rice to develop his unique bracing and neck designs, his Finnish method of aging all the wood parts and his insistence of hand tap tuning each top and back which he does himself. His guitars have been used in performances and recordings by many artists including Doc Watson, Ricky Skaggs, Sierra Hull, Andy Falco, Cortney Hartman, Sean Watson, Ketch Secore, and Dan Tyminski. The finest woods, finishes and trim along with the care from seasoned craftsmen, make these heirlooms a joy to play and pass on as an heirloom to the nest generation. |
