Built with a plain maple top over a lightweight one-piece mahogany body, this Historic Reissue delivers the warmth, sustain, and rich resonance that have made the Les Paul one of the most iconic electric guitars ever produced. Finished in a Goldtop VOS treatment with a matching Dark Back, this model offers a distinctive vintage-inspired appearance while remaining true to the classic lines of the 1954 original. A substantial 1950s Chunky "D" neck profile, Indian rosewood fingerboard, and historically accurate construction provide the authentic feel that Historic Collection instruments are known for.

Instead of the traditional P-90s found on a standard 1954 Goldtop, this Custom Shop version is equipped with a pair of Custombucker humbuckers featuring Alnico III magnets and unpotted construction. The result is the open, dynamic character of a vintage Burst with exceptional clarity, warmth, and harmonic richness. Completing the vintage-inspired design is the historic lightweight aluminum wraparound bridge, preserving the unmistakable feel and direct string-to-body transfer of the original 1954 Les Paul while pairing it with the added depth and power of humbuckers.
