With a hand-selected figured maple top, lightweight one-piece mahogany back, long tenon hide-glue construction, and unpotted Custombuckers, this R9 delivers the explosive resonance, complex harmonics, and feel that define a true late-’50s Les Paul. Finished in Gibson’s Dirty Lemon VOS with light Murphy Lab aging, this example has the broken-in look and response collectors and players chase.
