The 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II Midnight Ebony expands on the traditional Les Paul formula with a chambered mahogany body, quilted maple top, and versatile NanoMag pickup system. Alongside the Alnico Classic neck and Alnico Classic Plus bridge humbuckers, the fingerboard-mounted NanoMag pickup provides an additional range of acoustic-inspired tones with dedicated volume, treble, bass, and gain controls. Dual mono and stereo outputs allow the NanoMag and magnetic pickups to be routed separately, while a slim-taper mahogany neck, Grover tuners, LockTone hardware, and gold appointments round out this distinctive Les Paul.
