This 2002 Taylor 310ce came into our shop as a player’s condition guitar.  It had suffered from several symptoms of dryness on a guitar.  The main offender was the bridge was lifting at the belly; it was carefully removed and then reset to the top, and is now secured firmly.  The center seam on both the top and back were also beginning to pull apart.  These seam separations were pushed back together and secured with strong glues.  Some evidence of these repairs are still visible on the top and back.  In addition to the dryness symptoms, on the side of the guitar on the lower bout bass side a puncture crack had occurred.  This too was pushed back out and secured with strong glues; again this repair is fairly visible.  The guitar was also very heavily played in the first and second position, and the first 7 or 8 frets were pulled and replaced with new exact copies of Taylor fret wire.  The fretboard was leveled, recrowned, and polished.  The guitar was put in our humidity controlled warehouse to allow it to reacclimate to proper humidity.  The neck angle and neck relief are set properly and the guitar is very playable.  The old Fishman pickup system is working properly.  This guitar would be a great choice for someone needing a gig-worthy instrument that sounds and plays great, but has a few road bumps.  This guitar would be considered in Good Condition.
