At the heart of the AZ2204AG is an Oval “C” S-TECH roasted maple neck with an oil finish, delivering exceptional stability, a broken-in feel, and effortless playability. The roasted maple fingerboard is fitted with jumbo stainless steel frets and Prestige fret edge treatment, providing long-term durability and a glass-smooth playing surface. An ash body adds snap, clarity, and rich sustain, while ergonomic body contours and the Super All Access Neck Joint ensure comfort all the way up the neck.

Electronics are handled by a Seymour Duncan Hyperion S-S-H pickup set paired with Ibanez’s dyna-MIX9 switching system and Alter Switch, unlocking nine distinct pickup configurations that range from true single-coil sparkle to full humbucking punch.
