Gibson Murphy Lab guitars are built within the Gibson Custom Shop with historically inspired construction, finishes, and aging intended to capture the look and feel of well-played vintage instruments. At Willcutt Guitars, our Murphy Lab inventory includes Les Paul Historic Reissues, ES models, SGs, acoustics, artist instruments, and limited Custom Shop builds.
Our selection regularly includes Ultra Light Aged, Light Aged, Heavy Aged, and Ultra Heavy Aged finishes, along with Willcutt-exclusive specifications and Cavern Collection models. Because the aging process can create meaningful differences in finish wear, checking, hardware appearance, weight, and overall character, each instrument can have a distinctly individual look and feel.
