Bill Collings founded Collings guitars in 1973 located in Austin Texas. By 1989 he hired his first employee. He added electric guitars in 2006 and later ukuleles and mandolins and by 2012 he had about 85 employees. The pursuit of perfection instead of over production has always been the goal of Collings guitars. They have been played by many artists including Prince, Tyler Childers. Lyle Lovett, Ryan Adams, Jerry Jeff Walker, Marcus Mumford, Robert Earl Keen Julian Lage, Brandi Carlile, and more. |
