Stunning! This 2001 Private Stock Custom 24 is from the earlier days of the Private Stock program. This guitar features one of the most stunning tubular quilt west coast maple tops that you will see! Other features include figured south american mahogany back and neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, matching quilt maple headstock veneer, gorgeous mother of pearl inlays.  Features Santana I electronics, HFS/VB pickup set, PRS tremolo with Mann saddles (original). According to Paul Smith, it is the ‘grail’ (it is the guitar Paul held into the CNN camera proclaiming it the ‘holy grail of wood’ in 2002 – and includes a vhs tape along to prove it, for the new owner to have).

This is a hard guitar to photo, the bottom half is just as striking as the top but the lighting causes it to drop out. It has so much depth--you need to see it in "stereo" with your eyes, not in "mono" like a camera sees it.
